Bought a tea set in a charity shop I absolutely love but cannot find where it originates from. Does anyone recognise it ? I will attempt to include a photo .

Yes. It's cheapo stuff. My parents had it in the 70s. You can find it in lots of charity shops.

ImperialBlether · 31/08/2015 16:40

You love it? You don't find it depressing?

Shosha1 · 31/08/2015 16:41

God I had that in the 70s. I think I got it from what was then KeyMarkets. :)

BestIsWest · 31/08/2015 16:47

I quite like it. Is that an FF mark? Can't see it properly. You could mix it with lots of other stoneware.

Boltonlass1972 · 31/08/2015 17:19

Yes, it's an Ff mark. It doesn't seem cheap as each piece is quite individual. I think it's from an independent pottery. Not every piece has the mark. I'm very sorry my pottery offends ,MrsLeighHalfpennyConfused

Shosha we had the Keymarkets set! It's not the same I don't think, the base colour was paler and the rim finer.

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 31/08/2015 23:50

It doesn't offend me. Im just saying, don't get carried away. It's not good quality stuff. It was Imperial who said it was depressing, not me.

Roseandbee · 02/09/2015 20:35

sounds good - no tea plates tho !

Boltonlass1972 · 03/09/2015 20:23

No. But.. It's becoming a bit of a theme in our house. 20 years ago we got Denby Imperial blue on our wedding list. In the last 5 years, I have bought Wedgewood Santa Clara tea set, cake plates and teapot, my husband bought Denby Romany tea set and teapot and now this one. 4 tea sets is getting a bit much don't you think!?

I wondered whether it was FTF, not FF.

amarmai · 04/09/2015 00:31

you cant have too many nice tea sets IMO!

Boltonlass1972 · 05/09/2015 17:52

Ftf. Means something different to the kids I teach...Grin
