What do people use instead of magnolia these days?

Looking to freshen up our living room and hallway. Both currently standard magnolia/cream/offwhite type colour. What is the latest neutral colour trend for giving illusion of space and yet warmth at same time?!

Friends of ours have just done brilliant white and it looks fabulous. Very art gallery.

Any idea what colour paint to go with Howdens Pebble kitchen I need to pick paint before the builders install so I have no units to reference to
