Roller blinds - how to alter?

Our kitchen window seems to be an odd width (117cm), so any of the standard widths in the shops would need altering. The closest I can find is 122cm. I've bought cheap roller blinds before, and just cut the material myself with scissors (even using sewing scissors, so the blades are better and longer), but the material frays at the edges. We're getting our kitchen changed, and I want something that looks nice and not tatty. Any ideas how they could be done more neatly?

Can you have some made using a kit? The roller is cut to the correct size and the fabric is cut to size, hemmed and treated with a stiffener and attached to the roller. Alternatively I'm sure the likes of Dunelm can make it for you.

I hadn't realised you could get them made. I knew Dunelm and places did made to measure curtains (much more expensive than ready made) but hadn't considered getting blinds made. Food for thought, thanks.
