I am very worried about being naff.

Thanks.

yes it is sorry, words full stop are pretty much over I'm afraid.

Finola1step · 07/08/2015 21:35

For me, mildly acceptable in a child's bedroom only. But that's me.

mumblechum1 · 07/08/2015 21:36

Yes, naff, sorry. Unless you went a bit off piste in which case you could have big fun Smile

VulcanWoman · 07/08/2015 21:38

I think it's been done to death. But it's your home so do it how you like.

scarletforya · 07/08/2015 21:38

Horribly naff.

Kennington · 07/08/2015 21:43

Naff
Out of interest what do you why to write?
I love a bad quote but he comedy would wear thin quite fast

LeftMyRidingCropInTheMortuary · 07/08/2015 21:45

I wanted to have over my bed "Sleep peacefully, God's awake".

Please comment on my other threads about naffness!!!

Yeah, I'm sick of "Love" and "Home Sweet Home" and all that.

reminds me of changing rooms

i suppose though it depends on what you want to say..

theconstantvacuumer · 07/08/2015 21:47

Very Linda Barker in the 1990s.

Sapat · 07/08/2015 21:55

Naff, but we are buying a house and almost every home we see has one, so you are not alone!

wowfudge · 09/08/2015 08:41

If it's in your bedroom and you've no plans to sell or go on Come Dine With Me then do what you like.

PotteringAlong · 09/08/2015 08:43

Yes.

LaurieFairyCake · 09/08/2015 08:43

Yes, very

I'm naff though and love it

ClashCityRocker · 09/08/2015 08:46

If you like it, go for it. Everything's naff sooner or later.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 09/08/2015 08:48

I prefer 'shag enthusiastically, god's awake'

NerrSnerr · 09/08/2015 08:55

If you like it then go for it. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

Northernlurker · 09/08/2015 08:58

Yes it's naff and yes the quote you want is VERY, VERY naff. But it's your room so feel free. Just get the wording on straight!

Eminybob · 09/08/2015 09:04

I have the live, love, laugh one in my kitchen. I do sometimes worry it's naff, but hey ho, it's my wall, I like it.

I was actually looking for a piece of artwork for that particular wall, months and months of looking and finding nothing I liked I stumbled across the stickers for £1.50 or something on Amazon. It'll do until I find something better.

ProcrastinatorGeneral · 09/08/2015 15:02

Naff as it comes, however when I decorate my middle child's room he's having a minecraft theme and he's asked for 'eat, sleep, mine' to be on his wall to match his hoodie

LeftMyRidingCropInTheMortuary · 09/08/2015 15:49

Lol, thanks for the advice, guys!
I have no plans to sell or go on come dine with me.
Or invite any guests into my bedroom...
So I might just DO IT!
:-)

WIth your cheery disposition, I think you might just carry it off, OP!

Nice to see someone taking "yup, it's naff" on the chin and saying "what the heck, I like it".

LeftMyRidingCropInTheMortuary · 10/08/2015 12:38

Thanks Lavender!

I've just looked on Pinterest and there's lots of examples on there. Do what makes you happy OP. It's your home. Enjoy.

hotCocolepew · 10/08/2015 13:00

Why do you care if a bunch of internet strangers think its naff or not? If you like it do it.

bikeandrun · 10/08/2015 13:09

I think the best way of insuring a fashionable home is to look at what has become naff ie Linda barker 1990s and go for it, this works best if you are quite slow at diy. By the time you have finished you will be achingly hip. My pil 70s g plan furniture is a fine example of this.
