Borders are naff bit I love my tiebacks. Our windows are beautiful though so look much more nicely presented with the tiebacks on.

Does it matter? I think the best homes are the ones that reflect the taste and personality of the owners. If you follow the latest trends, you have to redecorate pretty much every year anyway, or you end up with a very dated decor which looks ridiculous.

Of course, you can only buy what's in currently in the shop, so there are trends, but make your home for yourself. I think you'll be happier (and you will notice - as I have - that friends and family will be "inspired" by your ideas and copy a lot of things you do, fashionable or not! . )

Tie backs (or some other means of holding curtains back) all the way here.

But I am old and don't give a shit.
