bed linen recommendations

I'm looking for plain white, with Oxford trim (pillow cases and the duvet cover), for king size bed. High-ish thread count (400 or more). The White Company stuff really has not worn well at all: I have 2 sets on rotation (so washed every 2 weeks) and neither are more than 5 years old, both have seams that have come apart and / or torn, and the buttons fall apart (White Co have sent me many free replacements over the years, but i'm a bit fed up of it). I'd like to spend substantially less too, Ideally 4 standard Oxford pillow cases and matching duvet cover for under £100. Although I want plain white, I'm ok with piping and self-patterns though not floral or lacey. Any suggestions of bargains to be had?

I've actually found our John Lewis Egyptian cotton linen to be great value and very long-lasting. Our sets are 4.5 years' old and show no signs of wearing.
