What is 'in' in the world of kitchen tiles?

Took me about half an hour to choose a kitchen, but absolutely hours to find the right wall and floor tiles. I really like metro tiles but they have been trendy for many years now, and I don't know how long the fashion will last... thinking about Moroccan style tiles, but they are brave! Any ideas/suggestions? It will be a white shaker style kitchen with traditional cup handles, and oak counter tops/white walls. Very safe and neutral.

Here are my top three:

Thanks!!

I think geometrical patterns are becoming IN. I'll try to link.

My kitchen is very modern with white cupboards and a grey slate worktop and we have these tiles which i still love after 3 years. White with a grey/black mosaic Line which would work well with metro tiles.

Third picture down is what I'm thinking of.

Not sure geometric is the right word.

Love your tangier tiles

I looked at so many different tiles. I knew I wanted patterned tiles, preferably Moroccan but they were so expensive! In the end I picked these -www.wallsandfloors.co.uk/catrangetiles/moroccan-tiles/meknes-tiles/maalem-decor-matt-tiles/21250/

They are just to go in above a range cooker. We have chosen upstands around the walls and we've painted above. They look really good and I'm thrilled with them. I just hope the tiler does a good job of putting them up when he arrives on Friday. I have numbered them in the design I want them put up Hmm

It was the most difficult decision in the entire room!

I meant to add I avoided metro tiles as I think they look a little dated now. Although Although if I was just tiling the walls I might have gone with them over a larger space.
