Wooden floors in bathrooms or similar

I love wood floors but my builder says they are very high maintenance in bathrooms and I should go for tiles and electric underfloor heating. I don't like cold tiles on feet when you're going for a wee in the night so wondered what anyone else has got and your thoughts? Could consider wood effect tiles and heating or just go for wood (we will not do upkeep as we are very lazy!) or amtico/karndeen??

TIA

Wood effect tiles would be my choice with under floor heating.

Wood in bathrooms is just not a good idea ime. I bought a house with sanded floor in the bathroom and it was just a bit smelly and dank.

Laminate and water do not mix at all.

Amtico I have no experience of but it should be good too.

I'm getting wood effect Karndean installed in my bathroom next week!

I had wooden floors in my previous bathroom and it was fine. This time I have got Karndean as the floorboards were crap and it is also fine. I considered underfloor heating but it is such a small room decided it wasn't worth it. karndean and wood are perfectly warm underfoot and I have a rug in there as well.

Thanks for your replies, seems like tiles or karndeen both could work then it's just personal preference?
