If you are making or buying curtains the old saying was one and a half times the total width for each curtain to give nice full finish - to add to that - I'd suggest if you hang your curtains on a longer rod so that the bulk of the material lays infront of wall not blocking out the light by being info y of the glass ... Hope that helps !
