Painting plastic trunking?

I'm attempting to decorate a HA house and I have plastic trunking in most rooms - mainly along the skirting board / up door frames.

Do I paint this in satinwood to match the skirting/door frames or emulsion to match the walls?

We had this going vertically up the corners of the walls to hide the central heating pipes. DP used the wall emulsion so they didn't stand out. He didn't prime them and the paint stuck to it.

Yep, painted the trunking in my son's room with the same emulsion I used on the walls. Looks fine.

Thanks both have done it with the emulsion like you suggest. I'll need to go over it a few times but looks fine like you say Star
