Bunk-beds - any recommended?

Hi all, has anyone bought any good bunk-beds lately? They'll be for an 8 and 5 yo to use, preferably with spare bed underneath for sleepovers.

AND, are they REALLY that difficult to make /change?

Aspace are attractive and solid but I paid for them to make them and was glad- complicated!

Thuka bunk beds! We didnt buy recently but ours still look great 7 years after buying them. They are also very flexible and will be split into two single beds when my dss stop sharing a room (although you can't do that with all the models) Link here

We have Joseph Polo White Wooden Bunkbeds - have had them for about 3 years now and really rate them. They are very sturdy (my H or I regularly sleep on top or bottom), comfy and can be separated into 2 beds when the need arises.

One other thing to consider - see if you can sit up when you're on the bottom bunk (i.e. if you want to sit with a child doing bed time reading). Some styles have limited space between the top and bottom bunks which mean you can't sit up on the bottom bunk and it feels quite claustrophobic for the child on the bottom.

The ladder is also quite safe because it comes out at an angle.

We bought a separate trundle (not Joseph) which fits underneath.

They're not easy to change sheets etc, but not too much of a pain!
