Kitchen corner cupboard driving me mad - need suggestions!

So, my corner kitchen cupboard is driving me nuts. I can never fit my pots in it without ramming them in (gently?!) and I always forget what's right at the back which results in me taking everything out (joy for my kids who revel in then making wonderful music with them) to find something and then cussing (under my breath so the kids can't hear) while I put everything back. Enough is enough!

Mumsnetters - hit me up with suggestions to improve this PLEASE! If anyone lives near/in lovely Slough, feel free to drop by my house and fix my cabinet for me - you will be handsomely paid (& I will be forever grateful!). :-)

Seriously, though this cabinet is like the black hole of my kitchen! Help!!

You need one of those carousel things - will see if I can find a photo.

Sorry. Wrong sort of door Blush

A mirror on a stick with a light?? I feel your pain!

How wide is the door? Those cupboards are toxic.

Quick solution - take out the shelf? Then you will have one "layer" of stuff on the bottom and be able to see/reach all of it.

If you have a bit more time - Remove the drawer and fix the front of it to the door, so you have one big "door" that opens in one piece, giving you a bigger space to reach into. (obv. you lose the drawer but it should never be there).

It can also help to cut the shelf down to an L shape say 40cm deep, then you have both a better view underneath it and less depth to lose things at the back of it. (effectively cut out a rectangle under where that red pot is). I saw this detail in a Devol kitchen and it was surprisingly useful.

Who made your kitchen? We had a 'kidney unit' from Howdens for £250. Easiest thing would be to see what storage solutions your brand of kitchen has and just retro fit it

I like the take out one shelf idea - now why hadn't I thought of that?!

Can't remove our drawer - it's the only one we have in our tiny kitchen to store cutlery.

I think our kitchen is a Paula Rosa brand - not sure if they do any fittings but I'll check. If not, the one shelf idea would work. Thank you!! X

Get rid of it. Replace with a normal straight unit. You'll actually have more usable space. It could even be a tall unit for extra space.
