Can I make a beige bathroom suite work?

My current bathroom has a beige suite, with light beige tiles with pink lilies interspersed throughout...

Sounds lovely I know ;)

I don't want to replace the bathroom fully, but if anyone has ideas to make this suite/tiling work then please let me know!

I thought maybe I could embrace the pink and go for a shabby country pink bathroom feel, but I'm not sure....

Definitely it needs additional colour. It really depends what you want to achieve. Make it more modern, up to date? Do you want the suite to blend in or stand out? Pastel colours for example are muted and in the "background" while strong colours bring attention to themselves. There are lots of things you can do - painting the walls, tiles, adding accessories etc. But at the of the day work around what you've got but don't submit to it completely. Bring your personality into the bathroom, your colours, your style. You already have a decent backdrop - beige goes with everything.

I would paint the tiles white and embrace a cream/beige/white colour scheme with towels & accessories

Get a quote just to change the tiling - it is honestly cheaper than you think and you could possibly change them for some more modern beige/neutral tiles

It depends what you want to achieve. We had a similar coloured suite in our first house and couldn’t afford to change it. But hated it. In my experience, the colour of the suite will vary (at least how it looks as a contrast) depending on what colours you put next to it. Maybe get a couple of tester pots of paint and paint next to it.

When we bought the house, all the accessories in the bathroom were peach, woodwork painted almost orangey peach. Bathroom suite looked peach. We ripped out all the accessories and tiled over the tiles (easy to do if the original tiles are secure). We went with a sky blue colour (it was years ago!) with tiles and paint, with white woodwork and as a result, the bathroom suite appeared less peachy – it actually looked cream (certainly more neutral). Just have a play with different colours and I’m sure you’ll be surprised.

I have a dark cream bathroom with accents of baby pink. Its very rustic though. Old white bath, dark sandy cream walls and tongue and groove round the bath in dark sand too with an accent line around the tongue and groove in baby pink. Mirror baby pink as are various wooden hearts, candles. rugs and towels.
