Good evening everyone,

I am in the process of moving to the Upper East Side in America, a couple of years ago I adopted a set of twins one boy and one girl. The house is really big so space is not a issue, I have finished my son's room,
We move in three months so I have got a rough idea of the furniture for my daughters room I am planning to buy this
www.bellini.com/index.php?p=cart
For my daughter, the only thing is we cannot find many american stores, that have the accessories, my daughter is into princesses and fairytales so if any of you know any good websites with quality beauitful decorations help would be appreciated. I am looking for some ideas regarding disney princess- e.g unique bedroom accessories Smile

And if anyone knows any good private pre schools, in the upper east side, I have looked at many but again price is not a issue
I was considering
Horace Mann school or
The Brearley school
I do have places at both but it has been hard deciding!
My children will be in grade one from september 2015, since we move late July schools are out so their is a question of finding them friends to play with. I am considering homeschooling but since I am a single mother and I work full time as a general orthepedic surgeon it would be hard for me to homeschool, I would not consider boarding school at this age but in the future possibly- I am searching for private schools not boarding schools :P

Have a good dayStar
And thank you for reading:D

The upper east side in America? Grin

New York?

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 20/04/2015 19:11

Tbh, if price is not an issue with decor I'd get help from a local interior designer with contacts.

P.s. You are an orthopaedic surgeon. Wink

blueberrypie0112 · 22/04/2015 02:20

blueberrypie0112 · 22/04/2015 02:28

Http:www.roomstogokids.com lots of Disney furniture. I have ordered here before and they are decent.

blueberrypie0112 · 22/04/2015 02:34

Sorry, something went wrong with my last link: www.roomstogokids.com
It's good you are sending them private school. With you being a surgeon, it is likely they will be able to watch your kids after school hours. My son went to private school although he hated it because he never felt he fit in (they were bullying him actually) so I took him to public school and he is doing much better.

The schools are in NYC, Blueberry Smile.

Taking this thread at face value (ahem)

If money is no object,

Get an interior designer.
Find a school you really love and if that is a day school , get a nanny/au pair to do the wrap around care to cover your hours.

This is what most people in your position would do.

blueberrypie0112 · 22/04/2015 12:06

Some people feel NY is part of new England states.especially when people from Connecticut go to work to NY. But it is really Mid-Atlantic state . I am from virginia, and people say it is mid Atlantic state but other says it is southern because of the civil war.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 22/04/2015 12:08

Tbh, I think we are talking about a moot point anyway Wink
