DH is putting his foot down and demanding we get a new bed. I'd been waiting for us to move but that's looking increasingly unlikely...

So, we would like a super king.

Do you have one? What is it like?

I'm a bit anxious of getting another bed frame after I quickly went off the design of ours and the slats were a bit crap (and we're a bit heavy tbh). So was thinking of a divan with storage where we can change the headboard. And should it be a sprung divan, does it matter? are there any nice headboards? I do like things to look nice. Our bedroom is plain white at the moment but may pain it a teal/turquoise colour

And mattresses? How on earth do you decide on a mattress having only tried one for five minutes? Ours is quite soft and while I would like more support from the bed itself I get back ache on firm beds...

All advice appreciated!

Be careful with a superking - often (but not always) superking mattresses are actually x2 single mattresses inside a cover. Means you can feel the gap down the middle!

Do check!

For this reason, I only have a king size.

Thank you

I've had the two mattresses debate with DH and he's says we're not old enough for basically having separate beds yet. Wink

(He sounds like a bed tyrant but is actually just fed up of fixing our current one!)

Warren Evans. Indestructible.
With the memory foam mattress,
Brilliant.
In 6 years it has not creaked, wobbled, no chance of skate breaking. They deliver and put it together for you to make sure it is wobble and creak free.
Divans are naff.

But does that mean I have to commit to a frame?

What frames are good? Maybe I should have asked that...
