I like one, DH prefers the other so we're at a standoff.

I have skylight in my hallway and I don't like it. It's quite cold. I have Dulux French grey in DCs bedroom. It's much nicer/warmer. Don't know the FB light blue.

That's what Exactly what I was worried about quangle. Light blue (my choice) is darker, more like georgian grey in dulux heritage. French grey looks lovely (just fished out the dulux colour chart to have a look), I'm after something with a bit more of a green/grey tone if that makes sense but think I'll definately try and put that somewhere, thanks.

We had Light Blue in our old dining room (faced North West) & loved it. The colour changed throughout the day and according to the light. It was quite a warm colour. We got the Dulux 'equivalent' for DS 's bedroom in this house, and it's not nice. It's just a warm grey blue - no character. Get the real McCoy!

Ooh fab, that just what I wanted to hear bear, what did you have on the ceiling/woodwork?

BN we just had a white ceiling and woodwork, with terracotta floor tiles. Hope that helps!

We have skylight in our current bedroom and old kitchen diner - great colour that looks different in different lights.

I have Light Blue all over my house, it's gorgeous. In the kitchen it sometimes looks pale blue but green at night. In the bedroom it looks grey/green.
Skylight is very similar but paler.

DH is still hesitant so I'm off to get a couple of sample pot. Thanks ladies

Gutted light blue isnt looking like its the one Sad. It's darker than I was hoping for and looks a definate grey with little blue in there. Little Greene celestial blue 101 (chosen by my 4yo) is better but still quite dark, anyone got any other suggestions?

I have light blue in my dining room. It's definitely more blue than grey and sometimes looks quite greeny. I love it. DS's room is skylight, it's nice but I prefer light blue.

Borrowed light?

tangledzebra · 02/04/2015 22:50

I have light blue and in my bathroom its a definite blue/green/khaki shade. I love it

womblingalong · 03/04/2015 14:00

I agree Agnes, borrowed light is beautiful, and i usually find lightish blues too pale and cold
