If you have grey carpets, what colour are your walls painted?

I have re-carpeted my upstairs in a warm mid grey carpet. The walls are currently white and I had planned to do them all a light grey (Dulux Polished Pebble).

I'm now having second thoughts about this as the one wall I have done is a bit prison cell like. I think this is because the rooms are North East facing.

I am looking for a neutral colour. Any advice gratefully received.

We had grey carpets put in our living room last year and then did the walls in a mink colour. We then did cream accents. Looks lovely if I do say so myself ??

I love a charcoal grey with a zingy sulphur yellow - if it sounds a bit scary you could just add yellow accessories. Asda is selling a cool bright yellow clock ATM which I have my eye on:

I have 2 rooms with dark grey floorboards and a crown paint called gallery white on the walls, it is a blue grey colour that looks much darker/bluer at night and a kind of dove grey in daylight.

DH and friends were skeptical at the plan but it really works well.
