Lighting in loft conversion

We're currently getting out loft converted into a double bedroom and en suite bathroom. It'll have a full height dormer on one side with a v large window, and two large velux windows on sloping roof.

We're stuck on lighting. Builder says most people have spot lights but I think these are a bit kitchen-y for a bedroom. There's going to be a pendant but ceiling not enormously high so might be problematic.

Could have track lighting instead?

We thought about wall lights but it's a bit tricky as we don't know exactly where bed will go or where to put the wall lights - difficult to decide when you can't change your mind later....!

Would be interested to know how others have lit loft bedrooms.

We had inset spot lights. They were fine.

Had ship-style round lights, 3 of them about a foot across, glass domes only about 4in from the ceiling at lowest point. And some wall lights. All dimmable. Hate recessed lights but if you do have them, LED bulbs at least last ages.

We have LED dimmable spotlights with wall lights next to the bed. But there is only 1 position for our bed to go, so this was easy to sort.

We have a hanging light fitting, with five candle type bulbs, over the stairs which rise into the room, and then a wall switch which turns on the lamps (3 amp socket?) like you get in hotel rooms.
