Striped carpet, help!

So in a moment of madness we bought a striped carpet for the stairs and landing. We wanted a darker carpet as we made the age old mistake of having a cream carpet prior. It's not been fitted yet and everytime I look at the picture of it I think, why?! I'm at a loss how to decorate the rest of the hall/landing as a result. It's different shades of brown stripes with a little bit of a white stripe. I've got a wooden floor in the hall so the carpet would do up the stairs and the landing. Any ideas for wall colours? Can't open the link so not sure, but I'd go for one of the mid or paler stripes. Are there any caramel/biscuit/pale neutral colours in there? That would work on walls, with gloss white woodwork and lots of bright photos or prints going up the walls.

It's actually pretty dark. I'd go for a paler tone of one of the brown stripes on the walls.

It's a very similar colour to the stripy carpet we've just put on our stairs. I love it!

We went for painting the walls in Dulux Endurance Crispy Crumble. We've also gone for a plain carpet on th landing which is in a shade that matches one of the stripes (we have a very big open plan landing/office.
