So, after a lot of searching and lots of twisting my hubbies arm, he's agreed to this wallpaper

Depends on the room. It's very feminine. I'd go for clean, unfussy window dressings - either white shutters or Roman blinds in a colour picked out of the wallpaper.

You don't need to keep posting the link. It worked.

Mrsteddyruxpin · 04/03/2015 22:01

Wallpaper is beautiful

Personally I would go for a light beige Roman blind and let the wallpaper do the talking

is wallpaper that expensive nowadays

14575 · 04/03/2015 22:04

Ah thank you squeazy, it's for one wall in our new bedroom. We've got french doors out onto the patio and they're 90X90. Who knew curtains were so blinking expensive?? I agree it's quite feminine hence me having to twist dh arm,got there in the end Grin
Thanks again

Wasn't sure I'd done it correctly, sorry!

Yeah, I agree - something unfussy and clean. I'd probably go with white. You don't want to compete with the wallpaper.

JustCallMeDory · 04/03/2015 22:33

I'd go for flat, clean-cut curtains - either dark grey or white (depending on the wallpaper ground).

zipzap · 04/03/2015 23:54

Also it's worth checking on ebay for expensive wallpaper - you can often get it much cheaper! Likewise for fabric (I've bought more fabric than wallpaper) - but think things that should have been £60/metre for £15/metre which makes it much more affordable to justify buying nice fabric Grin

Thanks for all your comments, think we'll go for a plain silver curtain. Funny you should say that zip zap, we only need 2 rolls and I found one brand new on eBay for a tenner so not a ridiculous amount to spend Smile

Not a comment on curtains OP but please put that fab wallpaper on all your walls. The one wall feature thing is just not taking advantage of a really lovely paper and just looks like you are a bit scared of it.

Silver curtain sounds lovely. Make sure you pick out some of the accent colours for cushions/throws etc.

Also consider carefully yr woodwork, plain white will look too stark next to this paper.

wowfudge · 05/03/2015 07:15

Just a word of warning about buying a single roll of wallpaper on eBay when you need two in total. Wallpaper has batch numbers and it is quite likely that your two rolls will end up having different batch numbers. Different production batches can have slight colour variation which might not be noticeable on the rolls, but could show up once it's on the wall, ruining the overall effect.

7to25 · 05/03/2015 07:44

Agree with wow fudge.

14575 · 05/03/2015 13:41

Thanks fudge, have managed to match the batch no's thank goodness.

Nice wallpaper. I'd stick to one wall myself. I'd go for curtains in grey I think to match the grey bits in the paper, perhaps with a white border. Silver sounds good as long as not too blingy (personal preference!). White bedlinen. Then bed throw and cushions in the pink and/or Aqua colours.

Marmitelover55 · 05/03/2015 21:37

I would also go for one wall. It would be very expensive to do the whole room! Lovely wallpaper Smile

theowlwhowasafraidofthedark · 06/03/2015 17:02

I would go for a plain bright pink blind or curtain but I love bright colours. Beautiful choice of wallpaper. I managed to persuade dh we needed this wallpaper, it makes me so happy!

Heels99 · 06/03/2015 17:04

Oh gosh it's very busy. I would opt for a plain silvery grey curtain but get them custom made so they are very tailored, lined and quality.

Heels99 · 06/03/2015 17:07

Have to say I do like the design in a cushion. I would forego the wallpaper and have cushions made instead.

14575 · 06/03/2015 22:45

Thanks everyone for all the comments, I'd love to go for bright pink curtains but it's already been vetoed by his nibs. Hmm
Gone for dark grey curtains, silver carpet and frosted glass and brushed chrome sliderobes. All 6ft of them. Hanging space, yay! Can't wait to move in.

I'd go for heavy weight fabric in a lovely rich teal colour - it'll make the pattern stand out so much better than neutral colours!

14575 · 09/03/2015 17:19

I would have gone for teal but our lounge is that colour too and I'm a bit sick of it!
