Need a little help with colour of walls in kitchen

Kitchen is fairly small and we choose a pale grey cabinet with oak work top.

Need a bit of inspiration for wall colour as do not want to tile it all (splash back black, same for oven, hood and floor)

TIA

I like cream. The colour of just unwrapped unsalted butter.

It's warm without being cloying. And still light. Doesn't intrude. But doesn't sit there being all "nothing" either.

My kitchen is white painted units, woodlooking worktop, steel appliances and white tiles. So was a bit cold looking. Cream as above has softened its edges without stealing the show from the units which took forever to paint and my pride and joy cooker. Nor has it "fussed up" the room which was something I was keen to avoid.

Thanks Fog, half a wall is painted cream from the old kitchen.

It actually does look nice

I just remembered something. Dulux used to have a mousepainter, so you could colour in a room of furniture to give a more or less match to your own, and then play with different colours for the walls.

It seems to have gone, but in the morning I'll have a hunt and see what has been developed in its place.

Used to spend hours on mousepainter. Kind of sad they've junked it. Was so much fun and really relaxing mindlessly "painting" without getting covered in splatters, or falling off my ladder. Which I do at least once every time I paint for real.

We have olive cabinets, solid oak worktop and oak floor in kitchen/diner. Gone for Orchid White (dulux) and it looks great.. Getting a lot of compliments. DD says the color reminds her of the inside of a banana. (Not the peel!)

I think this is the new mousepainter.

Not entirely sure how it works....
