Family Room colour combination help

We have a rectangular family room - south facing windows on long side, small west facing window and TV wall at short end.

We want to paint the tv wall - mulberry dulux or farrow & ball Brinjal.

I love cream and gold but not sure if they would go - any advice?

We have already tried over 20 tester pots and still not sure....

Do you mean a colour to go with the mulberry or brinjal? Or do you mean cream and gold with this?

We have a similar strong colour in a bedroom (more red in it) with almond white which works well. The gold could be a bit full on imo. How about cream on the walls and the gold for accessories?

Have you considered something a bit more greige - I think F&B Cornforth White would look fantastic with Brinjal.

Then gold frames (mirrors, pictures) on the walls etc.

Or F&B Dimity?

Thanks for the comments. Yes Wowfudge something to go with the mulberry/brinjal. I like almond white - one of our testers or barley white too.

Devora i do the idea of greige but think it will make the room too dark - will look at Cornforth White and dimity though.

gold would only be an accent on pics, mirrors and maybe sofas

over 25 taster pots now and still no agreement....

I've spent so much money on tester pots over the years I sometimes think I should just decorate the whole house in patchwork style and leave it at that.
