Little & greene French grey - is it too dull?

We want something cosy and warm, but also a bit trendy & sophisticated (if that doesn't sound too naff).

Was thinking of French grey dark in the living room and French grey in the kitchen extension (west facing).

Kitchen is white painted shaker with black granite work tops with flecks of copper.
Floor is rustic oak.
There will be a cast iron fireplace with red tiles.
Curtains will be hessian type colour with big red flower print (if I ever find the time to make them).

What do you think?

We have French grey painted kitchen units and they look lovely. It is quite a light grey and not greenish like some French greys.

we have the standard and it's lovely - pinky grey in the morning and bluey grey in the evening.
