Furniture to fit under a mid sleeper?

Hi,
We bought this Scallywag mid sleeper a while ago: www.rainbowwoodsouth.co.uk/cresta_scallywag_midsleeper_bed.php

My kids have loved playing under it but now we need to make better use of the space... We want to get some drawers and maybe a bookcase/shelf unit thing to go under it.
The Scallywag furniture is so ridiculously expensive I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions of where I might find cheaper alternatives? I don't think any ikea stuff fits. Would it be worth getting something made even or would this work out to be even more expensive?

It depends what you are looking for? Ikea have lots of drawers, cabinets that would fit with a little bit of alteration. It looks from your link that the height underneath the bed is about 72cm, so you could maybe have something like this, but maybe not use the feet.

Or something like this, but using different (smaller) feet.

Of course you could get something made but just my own view, it's probably going to be quite expensive and not something that is going to last years as presumably your child won't want a midsleeper when they're a teenager for instance.

Talk to Rainbow Wood. We bought our Thuka midsleeper from him and all the pieces were available separately without a markup for not getting the set IYSWIM. He sells various different ranges and I'm sure he'd be able to tell you what fits under yours. None of the midsleeper furniture is cheap, but most is cheaper than Scallywags!

Also consider getting chests of drawers etc and sawing a bit off the legs :)
