Sound really carries in our house, especially from the kitchen/hallway upstairs to the bedrooms. We have hard floors downstairs, which I don't want to change, so I was wondering - would some pictures and things (nicely vague!) on the staircase walls help to diffuse the noise at all? Maybe some large box canvases, or fabric wall hangings? Any ideas?
