Advice needed!

We need to redo our kitchen, its a right state and is rotten in the carcasses. We would really like a 'vintage style', rustic freestanding kitchen but i'm imagining its a bit more than just finding a load of units. Hs anyone done this themselves? If so, how did you go about planning it?

Also - does this style affect your resale at all?

I have a freestanding kitchen or rather have had freestanding kitchens for the last 13 years. Mine is some Ikea varde unit with a customised sink unit and other bits and an old dresser. Would never go back to a fitted one but I like to rearrange things. Habitat used to do a really nice one called Oliva. Sometimes you can come across those units 2nd hand. I replaced some worktops with slate which I bought from a place that makes hearths. Instead of top units I have mainly shelves.

Google 'Unfitted Kitchens' they are very solid and rustic looking Grin
