Help needed with my mini "get me out of work" project

Hello everyone,

Desperate to escape the mundane 9-5 of my current job I am wanting to unleash my creative side and have started to make candles. Plan is to attend craft fairs and see where it goes from there. But...... there are so many options out there of fragrances so I thought I would do a bit of market research about which ones people like.

So I wondered if you had any particular smells that you really like?? Some I got to practice with include Sweet Pea, Mediteranean Fig, Green Tea and Lemongrass and Pumpkin Souffle!

Also I am using soy wax which leaves the candles with a lovely creamy colour. Was not planning to use any dye as I think it looks better but again - do you prefer classic cream or colour in your candles!

One last question - how much would you pay for a candle at a craft fair. I was thinking the ones in the glass jars/tumblers about 15 and then some teapcup ones for 10 - is that too high???

Any feedback would be much appreciated. :-)

Good luck with the new job. I prefer my candles plain not dyed. Fragrance I like sweet pea, old rose, lemongrass, gardenia. For Christmas I love the Orange clove cinnamon smell.
Price? well I'm overseas but I pay the equivalent of 25 for a glass jar type, with extra for a silver lid. Never had a teacup one, not my style, but I do buy boxes of 6 small ones, beautifully packaged for gifts, cost is usually 30-35.
I always like candle to be nicely packaged, usually voile and ribbon. It costs a lot so it's my treat to me and I want it to look like a treat.
