What colour would you paint this room?.

Obviously these pictures are from before we moved in.

The side of the cabinets is faux wood. Someone at that builders must've hated us

I like pale colours.

Lovely big room.

I painted my kitchen a pale yellow, to be cheerful and jolly as I was going to spending so much time chained to the sink being busy in there.

With that wood, a creamier yellow might work well.

Are you going to be eating in there as well?

I would like a very pale blue with some warm highlight colours or a nice red

Dulux Egyptian Cotton all over. Add colour with accessories/blinds, say duck egg blue, coffee, black but not too much of one colour as you don't want a matchy matchy effect. Easy to go overboard like I did recently in a bedroom (removes teal linen basket ).

I would keep the walls neutral, there's a colour in dulux range called nutmeg white. as some one else has suggested - I would add colour in the accessories.
