Decorating bathroom with flowers

Last week we had a get together at our place and DH ordered few bouquet from online florists to decorate our home. DD placed one of them in the bathroom. I had never thought of placing flowers in bathroom but thanks to DD I am a fan of the concept now. So much so that now I am planning to order house plants online to place them in our bathroom. I am just confused about which plant to order. I searched internet and saw that orchids are most used. So should I go for orchids or should I buy some green plants. Which will the better option? What plants have you placed in your bathroom?

Orchids thrive if there is lots and lots of light and it's not too cold. Mine live in the conservatory in summer and in a big bay window in the dining room in winter and are doing fantastically. My dad keeps his in a bathroom though and it does ok.

We have a Peace Lily in the bathroom and it has done really well. Green all year round too.

Check out the aspect of your bathroom, most plants will do best with a south/southeast aspect, morning sun is better for plants. I had a great lipstick plant in my old SE facing bathroom, its a hanging type plant and bloomed nearly all year round despite the chill in there. My bathroom now is North facing and even a spider plant struggles to thrive in there now

I always have a small vase of fresh flowers in my bathroom - often just small springs from bunches bought for downstairs areas so no extra cost :)
