Oh crap. Paint on carpet. Please help!

I shouldn't be let loose with a paintbrush.

Although in my defence I had a dust sheet down, the paint seeped through it. It's really just on the surface of the carpet but very noticeable (white paint, dark carpet).

It's dulux once satinwood. Not gloss, but close. Has anyone got any experience of successfully removing this type of paint from carpet please?

Is it the oil based or water based one? If it's oil based you need to use white spirit and a cloth, keep on until the paint is gone and then use a wee drop of washing up liquid and water to finish.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure it's oil based. You're an angel thanks for the advice! Wasn't sure if white spirit was a good idea or not. Shall give it a whirl!

If it's oil based the White spirit should get it out fine. I've had to remove white paw prints up a dark brown staircase and there was no trace.
