Single bulb chandelier

I bought a glass beaded chandelier-type fitting for my dining room. it has only one central bulb but the beads are real glass and reflect light well. What is the best type of bulb for me to buy to get maximum sparkle from the beads?

There is a big revolution going on in bulbs, as the 'old' standard bulbs are no longer allowed.

LED bulbs can be very bright, come in different degrees of 'warmth' regarding the colour. But they may not fit the standard 'socket'. Philips do thousands of bulbs, but many are for commercial use, and their site is so technical I didn't understand much.

Thanks Ferguson, I went for a squirrel cage filament bulb in the end-hideously expensive, 15 quid for a bulb but lovely soft yellowy light from it and it catches the glass beads beautifully. Its like a 19thC salon in there now
