Chevron/geometric rug - nice or naff?

I just need a new rug actually. Living room has pale grey walls, white painted floor and 60s/mid-century furniture, so something retro would be good. Rug needs to be big, ideally about 200x200cm, and under £100. I'm struggling - please recommend something to me!

Have seen some nice black & white ones at Ikea, but would the pattern make my eyes go weird after a while? Worried I'd be seeing the zig-zag pattern in my peripheral vision while watching telly...

I don't like those chevron rugs at all. I think they look ok in photos. But very taxing to live with.

How about this www.made.com/homewares-textiles/rugs/ryker-rug-160-x-230cm-blue-and-white

I think black and white might be quite hard to live with. Have you looked at www.modern-rugs.co.uk they're my go to for cheap rugs.
