I'm going to have this on my stairs wall.
I've opened out under the stairs, and want to paint in there. It's only a few squares metres as it has an external door under stairs now too. Area is fairly light for under stairs. Opposite wall is pale grey.

I want a strong colour, taking something from the very wide choice on that wallpaper, but I'm stumped!

Opinions would be very welcome please!

I prefer to avoid teal as I have that in lounge, and lime/apple greens as that's it kitchen. Love orange but don't want to look 90s terracotta Smile and also might, with the kitchen, be a bit too citrus.

I'm leaning towards yellow... (yellow and grey, hello 80s!)

The floor is oak, if that makes any difference!

Purple.

Can you make that a clicky link?

Jesus! That's amazing

I'd say an off white... Not cream toned, just not pure brilliant white.

How's that for clicky?

Sandthorn · 08/12/2014 20:29

Ooh, lovely! Personally, I'd go for one of the new-plaster-like pinks.

Liara · 08/12/2014 20:32

I'd go for a blue, but may not be strong enough for you. I think it would look nice with the grey.

Cabrinha · 08/12/2014 22:53

Ooooh, thanks Sandthorn for doing the clicky for me!

And thanks everyone for the suggestions. Food for thought.

I have a feeling the wall will be painted more than once!

I'll post a photo when it's done - the wallpaper ain't cheap, it's my birthday present to myself Grin

It's lovely isn't? Will definitely post a photo when I've (saved up enough) to have it done Grin

grey. with wallpaper like that you don't want something that's going to fight for attention.
