Kitchen glass splashback - naff or not naff?

I have a very modern white kitchen, handless, sleek and streamlined. I'm wanting to have an 'all in one' piece of glass splashback behind the hob. A bit like this photo here. I'm also thinking of a photographic or printed glass similar in the photo.

What are your thoughts? Do you think it could look dated quickly? It's not cheap (in region of £200 to £300) so I want to get it right! Many thanks for your input and if you have any other suggestions.

We've got a stripey coloured splash back in our white gloss kitchen, and it looks fab
I'll try to take a photo but it's matched to red upstands round the worktops too, and our inspiration was the stripey one on tops tiles (but couldn't custom make). The whole lot cost £800 but it looks great and brightens up the north facing room.

Very funky!! I love it. Do you ever get tired of looking at it though? That's what I'd be worried about!!

Do you mean tired of as in it being too much? When it was first put up i did feel like it whacked you across the chops a bit - but now I don't notice its brightness if you see what I mean, just that it looks great. Does that make sense?!

Ours is a lot more orange and red than the tops one. It was a nightmare to get designed, but mostly due to shockingly poor communication from the glass company.

Yey! are you getting the tops one? We loved it but wasn't big enough for our space.

Oh, and glass is SO easy to clean!

I would love a glass splashback but perfectly ordinary colours from splashback specialists are coming in at just under £2k (I need total length of nearly 6m)
It seems very pricey when compared to Minty ' s gorgeous designer one up thread. .any suggestions of where to go to cut the cost?

Ours was a local glass company go , are the companies you've contacted just bog standard glass ones? I'm East of England but not sure I'd recommend them! I seem to remember a fairly cheap priced website one though? Will try to remember... 6 metres is a lot, is it all high splash back rather than upstands? Ours was oversized and was just under a metre squared I think. Will try to post a photo later.
