Moving the TV to another corner - help!

Just wanted your opinions, I've lived in 4 houses in my lifetime and in all cases the living room has had a fireplace coming out into the room with alcoves either side, so the TV has been sited in the alcove nearest to the window so you are facing the window watching TV.

DH wants to relocate the TV to the other alcove and maximise the space in our (small) living room, getting rid of a bulky sofa and armchair and having one long curved sofa - this means watching TV with my back to the window, it seems totally alien to me but I can see it makes sense, I can't really argue against it other than it just feels wrong not facing the window!

Ours has always been in the other corner. Either corner is perfectly normal. You're just in the habit of looking at it the way is currently.

I'd want yo check about light reflecting from the screen, before you make it permanent.

Thank you both, dis is VERY keen on this! Regarding the sun, the living room is south facing so I have to keep adjusting the blinds most of the time anyway. I'm warming to the idea!
