Painting cornice/coving,picture rail.

Am painting coving, picture rail and ceiling in dining room antique or off white. Would it be better to pick out the cornice and picture rail in a slightly different shade of white?

The trend is to paint them all the same colour. Including the woodwork. It looks nice either way tbh.
