Brushed cotton bedding?

I'm looking for some affordable, fairly decent quality brushed cotton bedding for my freezing cold bedroom. I've seen some in Primark and Matalan but they felt very thin.

where else should I look? Anyone got a set they love?

Just bought a set today from bhs for ds1's room. They had it out on a made up bed display it felt bloody lovely! In fact I'm tempted to go back and get a set for our bed. Not sure what your budget is but a single bed set cost £35 (have hidden receipt from DH!)

I've seen a scandi print in Next recently.

We have some from John Lewis but we got it two years ago. It's amazingly comfy though. I love it.

Haven't looked at Matalans brushed bedding but have just put an almost new bedding set from there in the charity bag as it was such rubbish quality

Brushed cotton sheets are heaven.

John lewis sheets are really good and last a long time and are not that much more expensive than others

I get mine from Dunelm, I love a toasty bed

I have some from Dunelm which seems perfectly nice, but has shrunk.
It is a struggle to get it stretched over the mattress. I have always dried it on the airer, not tumbled, as I already had a single sheet that had shrunk. Will try JL next time.

I used to have a jersey bedding set that was lovely and warm in my freezing bedroom. It was one of those reversible bed-in-a-bag things from asda. It wasn't very expensive but lovely and warm.

I saw a lovely set in Laura Ashley.

I bought my dad some from Dumelm, oooo they feel lovely and cosy.

The teddy bear fur bedding from Dunelm is fab.
I only got it for the dcs' bedrooms but I'm seriously considering it for ours too.
It is snuggalicious.
