Very wide windows - curtains advice needed!

I have recently moved into a flat that has full length glass double sliding doors from the living room to a balcony. There are four panels of glass - one fixed either side and two doors that slide open. With the winter and dark nights upon us I want to get some curtains up but I can't find any that are wide enough but I can't afford to have any made to measure (and also because I am only renting I don't really want to shell out for them). The window is 4.8m in width and 2m drop, so pretty big. Any ideas anyone? My sewing skills are not up to much so I'd rather not go down this route Confused

Also would it look best to have two very big curtains or four smaller ones? Would four look odd?

I would go for two pairs of 228x228cm curtains.

Are the measurements for the window itself or for the track?

Ah okay thanks Smile the track and window are the same length as the window is the full length of the room.

I'd just go with 2 or 3 pairs of ikea curtains TBH, there's plenty of choice - they're usually 300cm long and 145cm wide. Dead easy to shorten with wonderweb and an iron Wink

We had this with our big bay window. Made to measure came in at Thousands!
In the end we used 2 sets (4 panels) of curtains from Next.
