Pictures/paintings on the walls

We're just rearranging our pictures and have decided to move the ones that we have out of the lounge. We need to get something new to replace them (being super lazy because we don't want to have to fill in and paint over the screws holding them up).

Our room is painted quite a yellowy cream colour with brown curtains, rug and sofa.

Any ideas what we should get to replace them? Paintings, prints or photos.

What do you have up in yours?

I always think that the best art for your home is personal so someone else can't pick it.
Our living room has a framed photograph by my photographer brother and a photograph of where we got engaged but not much else because the other walls have windows & a fireplace.
Our dining room has a pair of oil paintings DH bought me for a birthday & a large canvas I painted years ago.
Family room has a wall of holiday photos, a gorgeous framed world map, some framed foreign money, some framed postcards & some framed stamps.

A mixture of ltd ed prints and orig paintings. I really don't like 'decor art'

By that, ikea buy what you like, not what goes with the curtains

Fucking ikea?!

That should be I MEAN not ikea ! Ironic

We've got some original art - we've known a few artists over the years and tended to buy stuff we like from them, but always as an impulse purchase, not a "we've got a space and want to fill it".

I'm just a bit stumped now that we have spaces to fill as we'd rather not wait the 5 years it might take to happen across something we like.

Get your favourite photo made into a canvas. Loads of companies on line that do it, I got a 30x20 inch for about £50 incl postage.
