Anyone used Hammonds for bespoke bedroom furniture?

Just moved house and one of our bedrooms has sloping ceilings, it's going to be tricky to furnish it well so have been looking at having some bespoke cupboards made. Just wondered if anyone had used Hammonds or other company and can recommend.
Thanks

Hello

I had Hammonds around and received a quote. I didn't really like a few of the things the sales guy said and the girl in the show room wasn't great.

We have a small cottage and wanted to make the most of the space.

I then had a couple of independent companies around and I wasn't that impressed with them, although their prices were competitive.

In the end I used Sharps for the main bedroom, their showroom in Homebase was amazing and inspirational. - found the sales team who came out too much, over bearing and full of rubbish to put it nicely - my husband thought they were great.......then a 'surveyor' comes out - it is long winded. Then the carpenter moans about the sales guy and the surveyor!!!!!!!! The fitting was a little bit of a drama initially in that they weren't going to turn up after I'd emptied the room out which was not easy with a small baba!!!!!! Hubby works away. Anyway a few tears later they came on that day. Am so very pleased with the product - a couple of teething errors like doors catching - but the customer service team did send somebody out straight away to resolve. At least a couple of years later furniture still looks good and is sturdy!! Love it.

For another bedroom we used an online company that were a lot cheaper. It meant doing my own measurements and using my own carpenter. This didn't go well at all.... Items turned up damaged, missing, was worried bridge unit would fall off wall and squash my daughter in bed..... I wish I had used Sharps again due to peace of mind, safety etc... In my opinion it's a worthwhile luxury.

I would stick with Sharps or Hammonds :-)

Good luck. Can send you pics of ours if you'd like.

What was the online company you used? I was thinking about online too!

Supply Only Bedrooms rings a bell...

Mike, I think. Was excellent.

If you have a good carpenter I'd suggest they do the measuring and ordering for you!!!

Ah, sorry, I'm in Scotland so probably no use. When we used this company he was just back from England where he had been working so don't know if it would be worth a try? Maybe he has contacts down south. We have a loft conversion so sloping ceilings everywhere. He was great and also built in cupboards to match the wardrobes. He put in soft closing doors for no extra cost, really good worker.

Hope you get something soon, either way.
