Curtain track for curved bay window.

The curtain track on our bay window needs replacing and I would like a pulley this time as they are so tricky to shut at the moment.

Are the bend it yourself ones easy enough to do? Swish make aluminium and PVC ones. My instinct says PVC would be easier to bend but less sturdy? Would curving it to fit be too hard to do properly? Should I get some properly fitted instead (at massive cost!)?

DH and I put up a PVC track in a bay window many years ago. It managed 4 full length curtains for 5 years before we moved out. Didn't have a pull cord.
If you've got a second pair of hands PVC is definitely do-able. No idea re Aluminium, tho they would look better!

Thank you. I think between us we should be able to do it (with a bit of swearing and a couple of arguments Smile).

My DH put one up with no trouble. I probably helped but I don't remember ;).

I don't think curved tracks can be corded. Metal tracks are easier to bend and stay bent.
