Single bed for a child

I dont want to go for a toddler bed. I am looking for a simple sturdy white single bed and the placea i am looking (gltc etc..) are very expensive even more so when you include a trundle bed and the mattresses!!! Any tips on where to look? i want something that looks nice but is cheaper yet sturdy! (oh, and the moon as well and a bit of chocolate)

well, i ordered one for argos. it came today. I put it up myself pretty easily and it looks nice however i am not super happy about the mattress as it looks rather cheap (underside is great and you can feel the coil a lot, topside is white and padded though). I guess for the price i paid (about £250 with the (best!) mattress) it is right...
