Hi, I have had a next sofa for a few weeks and had a few problems with it. I did buy it in the sale but they have offered to send me a new one in any fabric I want (the fabric I have has been discontinued)

On the photo I have attached you can see the dark fabric of the sofa I currently have.

I have grey walls, a painted black sideboard and a grey and white latticed rug.

Which fabric do you prefer??

And do what they are made of matter?
The one on the left is 50% polyester and 50% viscose. The other two are 100 polyester.

I am so indecisive, the only reason I got the really dark fabric was because I had a lighter colour ordered first but then tsaw the one I have now half price and ended up really liking it.

Can you post a pic of the sofa and room?

justmuddlingalong · 18/09/2014 15:25

I prefer the dark one on the right. Sorry, cant help wrt durability of different fabrics.

eddielizzard · 18/09/2014 15:37

darkest one. but they all seem brown? and your walls are grey?

TortoiseshellSpecs · 18/09/2014 15:37

In isolation, I prefer the one on the right, the darkest one but it might be different when paired with the other tones and the lighting in the room.

TortoiseshellSpecs · 18/09/2014 15:39

Not on my screen eddie - the left is a pale warmish silver, the middle one a mid toned, cooler silver, the right hand one is more a pewter shade.

MrsCurrent · 18/09/2014 15:46

If you have small people then the darkest all the way. I will continue with leather until my kids are grown up!

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 16:54

Delpic, I'll take a quick photo in a minute the room is very narrow though so hard to get a decent photo (my phone takes really blurry pics too)

Tortoise, the one the right is the most similar to the one I have currently which I love, I'm just drawn to the shimmery ones Confused oh and yes, have two children and a black slobbery shar-pei.

Eddie, they are all variations of greys/silver, maybe looking a little different on screen.

Mrscurrent, very wise with the leather! Dh hates it though and says the dogs claws will scratch it

The darkest one, if those are the only 3 choices you have.

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:00

Its really hard to get the room in properly, this is going to totally out me Blush

Ok, from the photo it looks like the wall tone and the rug tone are both quite light, lavender-y shades of grey. I would definitely go for the pewtery, darker shade. Pale sofa, light walls will just look wishy-washy.

quickchangearound · 18/09/2014 17:03

middle one I think.

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:03

From the other side, will the two lighter colours just blend into the walls?

The room looks nice, btw

quickchangearound · 18/09/2014 17:04

I like your sideboard

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:06

Tortoise exactly what I was thinking, but I love the shininess of the middle colour - first world problems Confused

The yellowness of my lights make the grey walls look more lilac-y, I wanted a more blue toned but dh had a fanny fit when I wanted to change it Grin

Looking at the room, I'd stick with as dark a colour as possible.

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:07

Thank you :)

Though if that was my room, I'd choose a deep purple :o

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:09

See I love the one I have got at the minute but there are problems with it that can be fixed but a lot of messing about (it's only 4 weeks old)

I tried getting them to give me a discount but they would only offer 10% (which I was already getting after a piss about getting it delivered)

I can't get a new one in the same fabric because it has been discontinued....ffs

Have you looked which of the colours you like best hides the dog hair the best

But, yeah, dark is good. Could you have cushion covers made from the middle sample? The colours seems to work together nicely and you'd get you nice bit of shine.

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:10

Ouryve, haha that was an unexpected colur to throw in!

I would go with the sample far right, and have some fun with cushions. These are on my Christmas List: Biscuit Cushions

Fcukfifa · 18/09/2014 17:15

Dorrie, I bought this from tesco today, along with all the rest of my cushions - they was all £2.50!
