King size bed linen for kids

Our son is about to move into our old guest room. There is a kingside bed in there. I don't want to buy children's linen but just a lovely eiderdown or bedspread with a boat or truck on it. But, can't find any in kingside. Anyone any ideas!?

In the US? Kids have bigger beds there?

Maybe a couple of cushions then! He will look so tiny

Just a thought - my daughter has a double bed. I did manage to get children's double bed linen from JL when I needed it (of course at 8 she considers herself far too grown up for that now). A double quilt is 6ft wide isn't it. You could think about having a double set on there, especially as it is just him and the quilt will still reach both sides of the bed with him in it.

Not perfect but perhaps a solution if you can't find anything - or a children's throw/quilt on the bottom half of the bed.

Tesco do some nice nautical themed bed linen - an anchor pillow etc.

Maybe buy plain blue covers and add children's pillow cases or motif cushions? A single bed throw would work long ways across the bottom of the bed too.

Ikea have some bright bed linen
