Cleaning glossy kitchen cabinets....

Hello, I just wondered if anyone could comment about cleaning glossy kitchen cabinets?

Do they look dirtier quicker as they loose the shine?

Not sure what style to go for. Also worried they might date?

Thanks :)

I just have them for my top cabinets. I clean them with windowlene. (Or similar). They look as shiny as day one.

I didn't use them on my bottom cabinets as I thought they might chip if banged and if they chipped I thought it would be impossible to repair them neatly.
I think they show the dirt more than other surfaces but they do look lovely.

I've lived in two houses with them (upper and lower doors) one kitchen was high gloss white and one high gloss black. Both were a few years old when we moved in and I lived with the black one for about 4 years (only a year or so with the white).

Neither ever chipped and they were the most cleaning friendly doors I've ever had, TBH. A quick wipe with window cleaning spray and a soft cloth, no faff at all. The black showed finger prints and dust more readily than the white, obviously and they wouldn't have taken kindly to an abrasive cleaner or scourer.

This is, sort of, what I have. I like the light shiny cabinets as they reflect a lot of light into my dark kitchen. I agree they are easy to keep clean but my natural wood bottom cabinets are even easier. I have to really examine them to see if they have marks on.

I clean mine with a steam mop. We lived in 2 places with glossy cabinet doors and both started bubbling up at bottom joint. Don't know if it's glossy or laminated doors though.

Water in a spray bottle and a micro fibre cloth - one for bathrooms

Works much better than cleaners and leaves no smears.
