New kitchen fitted, help with paint colour needed!

I am having my kitchen cabinets updated, the bottom ones are painted a very, very pale blue and the upper units in F&B Wimborne
White. There will be shaker panelling between the worktop and upper units which will possibly also be Wimborne white but I am totally struggling with a paint colour for the walls. Painter is coming next week hence the panic!

Raspberry, lime green, French grey,.
Have you tried any samples?

Oh my goodness...all sound lovely! I never even considered a bold colour. The kitchen is traditional and was thinking of slipper satin. I have so many samples in shades of white that I'm now totally baffled!

I am sometimes a bit to bold though. You could do one wall bold and others neutral.
Mine is currently white walls with raspberry blind

Dulux do some nice greens worth looking at one is called putter something
I also like olverty(spelt wrong!) olive from crown paints

I'll have a look today most of my rooms have some sort of green walls....ball green in living room, string in hall, kitchen used to be old white or was it off white?! All greenish so trying to do something a bit different. Thanks for colours, I'll let you know how I get on!

French grey
Oval Room Blue
St Giles Blue if you want bolder

I'm going to get a sample of French grey...have you used it? Is it quite blue? My back door has been painted celestial blue which is very similar to oval room blue. Thanks for your suggestions

Haven't used French Grey myself, but always love it when I see it in other people's homes. Have used Oval Room Blue on quite a bit on furniture I have painted. Happy choosing.

I've got Blackened with a blue kitchen (Light Blue, that's almost green in some lights) it looks nice I think

I love that colour but wasn't sure if it would look right with Wimborne white for upper units. Have you got a pic of your kitchen?

I can't get a photo sorry. My woodwork & ceiling is Wimborne White and there's a definite contrast.
But I've got my F&B swatches in front of me..What blue are your base cupboards?

They are Little Greene co. Pale blue china and terracotta floor tiles

That combination sounds really lovely.
I think Blackened might look wrong with the Bone China. I'm not very daring with colours so would probably go F&B Strong white or LG Bone China Deep if I was brave.

I have fairly simple taste and know what I like so a bit bamboozled as to this indecision! One last question I promise....do you think Wimborne white on walls as well as upper units and panelling is just too much? Thanks for your help. I'd post a pic but cabinet doors aren't due till next week and worktops Monday so not very bonnie just now!

Ah but I have got this...

Depending on how much wall you will have to cover after the cabinets and shaker paneling have been painted, I would be very tempted to go with F&B Brassica or Downpipe. I would use these colours if my other walls were broken up by windows or doors, etc. They would be intense enough and warm to compliment the flooring and would contrast nicely with the white and the (lovely) light blue you have chosen for the lower cabinets.

Otherwise, lighter shades I would go for would be Dulux Concrete Grey, Grey Steel 1 or 2, Whisper Grey, or Georgian Grey which is a green-grey, and might complement your lower cabinet colour. They would still complement and contrast with both floor and blue and white.

Brassica here. It seems to have something of a dark mauve cast on my screen.

Downpipe seems a nice warm grey.

Thank you for such a detailed response. Downpipe is so lovely but I have one wall at the bottom end of the kitchen which has nothing on it other than a sofa so fear the darker shades may be a bit much. Just off to check out your Dulux greys...

I am liking the dulux grey- thanks for posting. I have done Grey in bathroom but I think it is to dark as bathroom is tiny

I don't think Wimborne White would be too much, you just might lose the wall cupboards a bit.
A silvery grey would look lovely with your worktops too. I'm struggling with links at the moment, but what about Cornforth White?
Can you get testers locally?
