I have some wooden chairs that the seats can be removed with pegs and recovered. I have looked on amazon for the foam and its a whole new world:)

Do I buy them cut to size or buy a roll? And advice appreciated. Never done it before but I have an upholstery stapler..

I'd go to a local fabric shop and ask there for advice before you buy. They will know how best to do it. You may even find a local foam supplier if you ask around.

I did that over the weekend, and they suggested I buy v cheap foam seat cushions, remove the covers and use that. So I'll give it a go anyway.

Thanks:)

Probably very good advice. Foam, especially thick foam is surprisingly expensive.
