Come and help me decorate my study room

Have a 12 feet by 7 feet study room with one glass wall, so has light for most of he day.
It has been decorated in a neutral shade of beige.
Have ordered oak finish desk and a book case.
I have also ordered a chaise( yes, yes.. It was on my wish list) .

I have not seen it except online, what do you think of the lamp shade?
Am I mad in even considering yellow to add some colour.

I was tired of seeing oak, grey and playing safe with neutrals all the time.

The chaise is in a lighter shade of grey if that helps.

With oak and grey, it would look fab.

Grey alone is dull, even with natural wood colours. Colour is essential and that yellow is lovely and actually quite safe!

I was thinking of getting some yellow cushion and decorative stuff for the display in the bookcase.
Should I add another colour? Green or red ?

I've got that light, and I LOVE it! I would stick with the yellow and neutrals (could include black/white/grey)... Let the yellow sing.

Oh... really excited, going to look for yellow and grey throw and may be black and white rug.
