Can anyone tell me what I'm looking for?

Because I don't know what it's called, and googling isn't helping.

I'm looking for a sort of kitchen island, with lots of small drawers. It looks a bit office-y, with metal label holders on each drawer so that you can label what is in it.

I have seen one, I haven't dreamed it, but can't for the life of me find one similar.

It might be Scandinavian... But Ikea don't seem to have one.

It's really bugging me!

A merchant's chest? They don't usually have label holders but you could easily add your own.

Have a look on the Achica website - they often have furniture in that type of style. Tip though, if you see something you really like, Google it as Achica, prices are not always the cheapest.

I think what you mean is a library card cabinet? Google images threw up the right sort of looking item for your description :)

I've always known them as apothecary chests if they have square ish drawers, wide thin drawers and it's an architects chest/drawers.
