Kitchen colour scheme

My kitchen is very white with a speckled grey worktop. I was thinking of painting it grey (two walls) and a lime green colour (other two walls). Does this sound like a nice combination? Are there any rules on choosing where to place colour. Is this idea dated? I'm a decorating novice, but want to be brave with colour. GrinSmile

I have lime green walls in my kitchen and love them!! They room gets the full early morning sunlight and the whole room comes alive. What kind of grey were you thinking?

Kind of like example 5.

Did you find it easy to get blinds to tie in?

I have noticed that hardly any home pictures ever have window dressings.

Ooh yes that green in pic five is exactly the shade my kitchen is. And it goes really well with the grey, I reckon!
I haven't got around to blinds yet... Er, really should sort that out!

It's not that you haven't got around to it, you are obviously just too stylish to have blinds WinkGrin

Do you remember where you got your paint and what colour it was called. Will save me another trip to the shops trying to colour match using my iPhone! Picked up a few testers from b&q but they don't look quite right.

I'll check when I get home but it was bought by the painter from a trade type place. If by any remote chance you're in the Ne you're welcome to mine - I've still got a ton of it left!

The photo you've linked to is lovely. I think it will work really well :-)

Thank you Smile

Happy just with any name hints, but really nice of you to offer.

Our kitchen has speckled grey work tops and duck blue/white/beige tiles. The duck blue works well.

Thanks lady. Will add that to my colour tester list.
